This is my favorite app and I love the changes it can make to a photo! I love the first phot, so symbolic of all the seasons 🙂
Thank you! I jsut saw your instagram fee…great stuff going on there!
I Agree, Brit! As a professional photographer, the Instagram is so fun! Sometimes the whole ‘technical’ aspect of photography can weigh me down, but with Instagram it’s all really about your creativity, your eye, and your personality. Such an awesome tool!
these pictures ARE AMAZING! Love them!!!
Lovely photos! I love instagram as well and would love to post some of my photos on my (future) blog site. Any tips on how to post instagram photos on your wordpress account? Thanks!
Thank you! It’s very easy actually…simply upload the instgram images you want to post from your camera roll to your computer then upload to a post on your blog. Thanks for reading!
you can get the photos from your iphone/ipad/ipod touch at your computer or download the wordpress app and make the post from there
Gorgeous shots! Thanks for sharing your talent 🙂
Thank you for the kind words!
Instagram makes me smile, daily.
It’s also great to inspire you & get those creative juices flowing.
J’adore the pier shots and #4.
Thank you for reading and your comments!
Well done, these look great. I only just got an i-phone and have become an instagram addict. How did you get the effect in the 1st photo? Congrats onbeing freshly pressed 🙂
The first photo was actually processed four different times and then combined in the app PicFrame. All processing was done with the app camera+ using four different color treatments. The image was shot with iPhone, edited on a iPhone, and then posted on istagram through an iPhone as well. It’s pretty amazing what you can do with your phone now a days.
It really is, thanks for sharing. You seem a pro with all the different apps. It may take me a while to get the hang of it though!
Beauty in the ordinary. “Through the windscreen” shot is very cinematic. The “under the pier” shot is very mysterious. Who is that man?
Thank you! It was actually a fellow photographer shooting a couple session. It’s always challenging shooting pics at the beach and not getting some strangers in your shots!
Lovely shots, really cool stuff going on here!
Thank you for visiting and reading!
Love Instagram! Love these shots! Beautiful, beautiful, beautiful!

Great spiritual shots. Loved the thoughtful and insightful side notes on the blog. The note about the well know comedy star’s death at 48 wouldl also apply to the recent death of a well known singer…. sadly. Possibly broke with 100 million going through their hands in their career? It would be interesting to find out how much of that might have went for drugs.
Thank you for the kind words and for stopping by!
Cool pictures! Thanks for sharing!

Love all of these! Have you used Lovestagram before? It’s just a little Valentine’s spin off Instagram, made by the co-founder of Instagram’s girlfriend.
Thanks! No, I have not. I will be sure to check it out though.
So glad to see that I’m not the only one addicted to Instagram! It’s kinda dangerous though. Every time I’m in the car or walking down the street, I just see everything through Instagram colored lenses. I just want to stop and take a picture of everything. And I wind up doing it more often than not. Crazy fun!
Beautiful shots! My son has the exact same t-shirt.
@boozedancing on Twitter and Instagram
Thanks for reading! I couldn’t agree more…I tend to drive my wife a little bonkers trying to get shots sometimes!
This is awesome, like that kids t-shirt.
Thanks! That’s my boy and he is pretty awesome!
wow. The top one especially is so creative. I love these.. so beautiful! -beth

I love power lines and concrete rivers! You are like an urban Anselm Adams.
Thanks dogg! I would love to be known as an alternate A.A.!
These are amazing! I really like the first one, is it just sectioned filters?
Thank You! Essentially yes. The original photo was edited four different times in Camera+ and then all combined in PicFrame. all iPhone.
Well done on the Freshly Pressed – these are great! I love Instagram! I’ll put some up soon!
Thank you. I just learned what freshly pressed was today when I got the initial email about it! Such an honor to have wordpress recognize me!
Definitely! When you have a moment, have a little look through my blog too, I’d really appreciate some feedback!
These are gorgeous! and very impressive.
Thank you for the kind words. Photo editing on an iPhone has become quite entertaining to me. Thanks for noticing!
Inspired me to download the app.
Awesome! Glad to start an instagram addiction in someone else!
Hey, yeah. Thanks. Your blog did provide me with the inspiration I required 🙂
Muito Bonito! Adorei!
Obrigado pelas palavras gentis. Muito apreciada!
Wow, these pics are great. I really like the one with a h.v. electricity pole – its simplicity makes it beautiful. Greetings from Poland 🙂
Thank you! Awesome see this is reaching someone on the other side of the world!
Congrats on being Freshly Snapped…oops, I mean Freshly Pressed

@alexanderpavone . Thanks for reading and nice words!
Nice shots. I like the first photo very much. Hope it will be available in android phones soon.
Thank you! It is quite a shock and honor!
Gahhh..I am in love with all of the lighting in these pictures. Stunning.
Thank you very much. So thankful that my photos are impacting others!
great photos, I love instagram! Cute kid. He’s wearing a Carters shirt I designed.
Thank you! I do believe we got it from carter’s…you really designed that? That’s incredible, and what a small world! I’ve designed shirts for boys and young mens with one of each hitting at retailers like Target and Kohls…I’m fully aware of how hard it is to have designs sell through major retailers. Thanks for reading!
Absolutely stunning, all of them. I especially love the first, taking me on a journey throughout the seasons. You do instagram wonders.
Thank you very much! I feel I am a small stepping stone to some of the amazing talent in the instagram world.

very good pictures, you are Very talented
Thank you for the recognition!
great photos!!! did you use an iPhone to get these results?
Thank you! Yes, every shot was taken with the 4s native camera and then all were edited with iPhone apps such as Camera+, PicFrame, Picfx, and snapseed.
Ahh, I see. I too have camera+ and I enjoy it very much. I will check out the other apps you mentioned.
Beautiful photos! I am a WordPress photographer too. I tried Instagram for a while, but eventually got a nice DSLR and edited them myself. Nevertheless, great job!
Than you! I do love my canon dslr much more, although you can’t beat the convenience of the iPhone.
this is inspiring…you brought out the best in the app! =D
Thanks for the inspirational words!
Gorgeous shots. I’m personally a fan of the fourth one from the top, I love the grittiness. Makes me want to go to California.
I’ll definitely be following you!
Thank you! That was actually shot through my car’s dirty windshield. No grunge filter added. Just the fun effect of a dirty window and old honda glass!
this is wonderfull…
Thank you for viewing my blog!
Really cool images! Really like your blog!
Thank you for looking around!
I’m reminded of my friend from law school who met his love through Instagram…They’re seriously in love right now…Instagram does magic all right!!!!
Really? That’s crazy/awesome! Thanks for sharing!
I’ve had little time lately to make dedicated outings with my “real camera”, so have recently undertaken to start snapping with my iPhone more regularly, and it’s been so much fun! A warning though – instagrams are addictive… 🙂 Thanks for sharing yours!
I totally understand! you can’t beat the convenience of an iPhone in your pocket. Thanks for reading!
really dig the parking garage shot…the sepia tone contrasting with the deep black spaces (which seem to suggest an abyss) jibe together quite nicely….parking garages have always fascinated me because they serve no other purpose other than to temporarily house cars…so aesthetics do not seem to be important (the cars don’t care about pretty)…also, i dig their angular möbius strip quality…each level blends into the other…reminds me of m.c. escher’s ‘ascending and descending’…
Thank you for the great comments! Of course this parking structure was a little pretty being that it’s the South Coast Plaza parking structure. 🙂 Thanks for reading!

good shots and real cool editing! 🙂
i like the fourth pic…a different one!
Thank you. The power of the iPhone lens and editing apps are amazing me lately!
His photographs fill our eyes. What beautiful pictures!
I really liked the first picture, because it makes a journey through the seasons.
Thank you! A couple of people have noted to the look of all seasons, originally I just wanted a four color picture. It’s interesting to me how different people see different things. Thanks for reading!
so very pretty!

I don’t know much about instagram. I thought it was just an app for sharing photos. Were these all edited within the app or were other ones used? for example the first one with the tree
Instegram allows you to put different effects photos as well as share them. Though I think some people edit their photos using software like Photoshop before they import it into Instegram.
Not as much as you would think. There are so many diiferent ways you can shoot and edit all with an iPhone I would venture to say that almost all instagram shots are done solely on an iPhone. All of these shots were taken and edited with an iPhone. I use a ton of different apps tho shoot and edit with. Some of my favorites include PicFrame, Picfx, snapseed, Photo Power, Big Lens, Vintage Cam, Phonto and Slow Shutter.
I use a combination of PicFrame, Picfx, snapseed, and/or Camera+. Since I found the fun in editing all on my iPhone, I tend to upload to instagram using no filter to share.
I am the same, I have a few posts with all iphone edited photos on my blog 🙂
These are really amazing. I always wanted to use instagram but I don’t have iphone. I hope they develop it for Android soon.
There is talk they want to expand their market to the android and windows phone platforms…so hopefully soon!
Yes, I read it too. I hope they release it sooner.
Beautiful shots. I challenged myself to a 366 project using my iphone and Instagram and it’s fun, but I’d like to explore more apps. I have Instagram and camera+, what are a couple of other apps that you really like?
I use PicFrame, Picfx, snapseed, Photo Power, Big Lens, Vintage Cam, Phonto and/or Slow Shutter. Some other apps I have heard great things about are Photo Shake, Photo Froge2, and Color Process. Thanks for reading!
I’m way late to the Instagram party, but recently downloaded the app and am now slightly addicted. If I could Instagram a screen shot of my Angry Birds level, I could die happy!
Great pics by the way!
Thank you for commenting and reading!
serious talent here. Wow I am very impressed.
Thank you Ron, appreciate it!
These are some very astonishing shots and strongly urge me towards purchasing an iphone purely for instagram; however I will point out my favourites. The first shot with the four colours shows huge consideration of the colour scheme and purpose, but the black and white shot of the child really draws me to it with the gaze, definitely fine use of instagram!
Thank you for reading and showing your interest in my photos!

These are amazing!
Thank you! It’s pretty incredible what you can do with an iPhone these days.
Beautiful shots. I so wish blackberry would improve their camera and have an ‘instagram’ version as the photos are spectacular via instagram.
Thank you! Greatly appreciated.
I like the cable tower shot best. Plain subject, made unforgettable!
Great shots. Love the first one so much! 🙂
Thank you! I do hold quite an interest in urban shots.
Reblogged this on if you can't say it, write it!.
LOVE the second photo!! Very serene… 🙂
Thank you! I think I originally shot that photo about 10 times trying to get it just right!
Wooops …. Skills
Thank you for reading and the nice words!
Woow, just WOW!
Thanks for commenting!
You have a knack for making the usual extraordinary. Excellent photos!
Thank you, I appreciate the encouragement to do more!
I am inspired to do so much more with my Instagram now! i’ve just been taking food pictures… I enjoyed your photography so much I added you on my Google reader & followed on Twitter. i have a couple questions if you don’t mind–
1) how did you get the effect on the first photo?
2) i’m a VERY novice photographer.. as in the most i’ve done is had the desire to learn & capture moments around me. any tips?
oh & i’m usually a proponent of PUPPIES > BABIES but your kid is too cute 😀
congrats on freshly pressed!
Thank you for reading and subscribing!
The first shot was edited/processed four different times in the app Camera+. I then combined then all in the app PicFrame and removed the borders/edges to have the photo seamlessly merge together.
I would say to just start looking for out of the ordinary things/places/scenery to take shots of. Take a shot of a person in front of a sunset to catch their silhouette or shoot things like concrete, woodgrain, car tires, light fixtures, etc. As soon as you can find the beauty in the in-ordinary, you will realize your skills will improve. A concept I’m working on myself!
The sixth foto needs a few birds hanging on the cables!
Thank you! Birds do add a nice effect on powerlines, I agree!
Instagram is the reason I want an Iphone.
I was the same way, although I was already a major mac person at heart! Thanks for reading!
Yea, they have a lot of photo-software for android devices tho. But somehow they don’t compare to Instagram!
amazing photos! i definitely need to work on my instagramming!!! 🙂
Thank you! Yeah be sure to try editing photos before going to instagram. I’ve been doing this on almost everything I post there to get all sorts of different images!
thanks for the tips 🙂 i will definitely be checking your blog more often for more inspiration!

That green doorway is amazing. it looks like someone set it up right in the niddle of a studio. It really fabulous. thanks so much.
Thanks! I was shooting at night which cast a slight yellow glare. I used Camera+ to pull out a stronger hue for that picture. Came out pretty nice.
